A 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit Buddhist Humanitarian Organization
Since 2006, Universal Virtue has served the less fortunate in Vietnam and communities in the U.S. — with a spirit of transparency, selflessness, and religious inclusiveness.
Universal Virtue Buddhist Charities was founded in 2006 by Reverend Thích Nữ Hoa Tâm, a Buddhist nun, together with Buddhist followers in Southern California, with the aspiration to ease the suffering of the less fortunate in Vietnam and to support communities in the U.S.
“May I be a good doctor for those who suffer from illness, a guide for those gone astray, a lamp for those in darkness, a source of treasure for those in poverty.”
