Universal Virtue Buddhist Charities was founded in 2006 by Reverend Thích Nữ Hoa Tâm, a Buddhist nun, together with Buddhist followers in Southern California, with the aspiration to ease the suffering of the less fortunate in Vietnam and to support communities in the U.S.

“May I be a good doctor for those who suffer from illness, a guide for those gone astray, a lamp for those in darkness, a source of treasure for those in poverty.”
